About Holly
I am a wife, step-mom, friend, full-time IT consultant, part-time student, runner, scrapbooker and lover of food! At 31 years of age my goal in life is to achieve a healthy balance. After my father passed away from cancer several years ago I really started to focus on how I could improve my overall quality of life and lifestyle. I started working out more, signing up for 5k’s and improving my diet. I discovered I had a love for running not only because it was a great cardio workout but because it was a chance for me to decompress and think.
Running has become a passion of mine because it keeps me balanced and allows for me to challenge myself more and more. It is also portable…no equipment required. (Although I do love a cute running outfit!)
I have completed 3 1/2 marathons to date and many other races. Recently I have also picked up circuit training and yoga as a way to improve my running time. I fell in love with the process of short workouts with circuit training and the stretching and breathing of yoga. For a time crunched schedule this is a way to go.
My goal of blogging is to create a tool where I can not only challenge myself and keep myself on track but to share tips, tricks and stories with others. I love to take pictures, scrapbook and document life’s events. I have always been super creative and this is another outlet for me to use. I hope you enjoy reading some of my healthy balancing stories between, work, school and family!
…and for those of you who would like another perspective, check out my husband’s point of view!

Holly – this is great! I couldn’t for the life of me figure out the ‘eatscraprun’ name – scrap? Now I get it! *Duh*
I really enjoy the blogs and am learning a lot! Just added it to my favorites and need to figure out how to access via my blackberry. Thanks for taking the time to do this – its fun, informative, and motivating!

Hi. I am glad you like it
Our scrapbooking days have been limited lately, but maybe I can catch up over my breaks. It was fun to see you yesterday! Glad you liked the Jillian workout!

Hi Holly
I started jogging today because I too find it relaxing and a great workout.
I read a great link from your site to Runner’s World , I think, about run/walking. I find that idea amazing
