I am working from home this afternoon…
Do you like the blonde highlights? The are new since the Exercise TV results. Friday nights are reserved for date night around here. Otherwise known as a “study free” night! Yeah!! The husband went back to the North Market for some homemade pasta, organic sauce and more steak! For under $40 bucks we have two gourmet meals for the weekend. I’ll post the results this weekend.
As we go into the weekend I realized that I have 2.5 weeks to work my way up to 6.5 miles! (Minor panic attack!) The 1/2 marathon relay I am running is CLOSE and I don’t really have a plan. This is the first time I haven’t had a strict training plan for a race longer than a 5k. With that said. I have decided my approach is to run for fun. My competitive spririt is fighting this one, but given everything on my plate I am going to try to enjoy it. I always like to have a goal in mind when I run a race. So far they have included…
1. Complete the race without walking (1st half marathon)
2. Run/train with a friend and finish together. (2nd half marathon)
3. Improve my time! (3rd half marathon and personal record!)
4. Just run for fun! (or try to without wishing I was doing the whole thing!)
Right now my goal is run 4 miles early tomorrow morning and get a gauge of where I am at. I really have no idea since I have been consistently doing the 30 day shred and occsionally fitting in a 3 mile run here and there. Once I have a baseline I will adjust to work up to 6.5 miles over the next 10 days.
