This morning after a few hours of quality studying, my husband convinced me to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air!
We ended up surrounded by yummy food at the North Market in downtown Columbus.
Every Saturday they have a farmer’s market in the parking lot so we picked up some yummy fruit.
We then stopped and ate lunch (mediterrean veggie pita for me) and moved inside where we picked up some fresh steak.
This is from Bluescreek Farm, a local farmer in Ohio. All of there meet is hormone and antibodic free. The steaks we got are from grain feed cows also. Yum!! The instructed us to only cook each side 2-2.5 minutes at 400-425 degrees. Once you remove the steak it will continue cooking for the next 5-10 minutes. Can’t wait to try this tonight!
They also sell my favorite ice cream at the North Market. Jenis.
We settled on Goat Cheese and Roasted Cherry and Lemon Blueberry Yogurt. There motto is less sweet more flavorful and they use all locally grown, organic ingredients. Some of their other flavors include salty carmel, sweet corn and black rasberry, backyard mint and queen city cayanne to name a few. They change them every season and free samples are endless! Its going to be hard not to eat this until after weigh in day!! You can check out there blog at www.saltycarmel.com Cute name!
Do you buy local? Jeni’s is only available in Columbus. Aren’t we special
You can ship it for a price, but it is definitely worth the trip!
I am inspired to go back to studying now until dinner!
