On Friday I met my friend Rene for a scrapbooking date. My prep on Thursday night really paid off and it was so nice to already have an idea of what I was going to scrapbook.

The rest of Friday was pretty uneventful. Saturday I started the day with a quick, two mile run, and then decided to yard work since I was already sweaty. I was outside in the 90 degree heat for about 3 hours, and it was brutal. I spent the rest of the day recovering from the heat! I need to remember that the early morning is the best time for yard work, not noon!
Since I am leaving for vacation next week, I haven’t been doing much cooking, but I am did roast some asparagus that I need to eat before I leave.
The package of asparagus had a recipe on the back for Parmesan Asparagus, which I decided to try . It was a combination of olive oil, breadcrumbs, and parmesan cheese.
It was pretty good, but next time I would do less bread crumbs and more cheese.
Who does the yard work in your household? I haven’t done much work in the yard during the four years we have lived in our house, but now that I am unemployed it’s my new project. It’s tough work, but it’s nice to see improvements as I make progress!
