Yesterday Megan and I went to the beach…(a Florida must!)
AND scrapbooked!! This is the first time I have scrapbooked since her first visit in December, 2009!! Yes, I know, I have fallen off the scrapbooking wagon. But I am using this vacation to get back on track!
I used the George and Storybook Cricut Cartridges to create these two layouts. I also used inspiration from Scrapbooking Etc. magazine.
My new approach to simplify scrapbooking is to take less pictures! Before I would take 10 pictures of one event and then have too many to fit on a page. Now I am trying to take one or two good pictures and be more creative on the pages.
How do you prepare your pages? Do you plan how to take your pictures?
Layout #1
I loved the metallic paper in this layout. I wasn’t sure what to do with it but it worked as an accent and gave the blue some sparkle! Nothing on this page really matches, but the bright colors came together well.
Layout #2
My goal on this page was to incorporate cupcakes and a girly design. The scalloped paper, ribbon, polka dots and paper cupcakes helped accomplish this. I love the Cricut Storybook font. It does some really neat graphically letters.

So cute. I would love to start scrapbooking!

Thanks! A good way to start is to get a starter kit from Target. Everything is all in one book, one package. Then you can test drive it to see if you enjoy it.
